2. Select another group for comparing your hardware specification with and justify why your specification is better than the selected group.

The group selected for comparing is Group 5 from Fizikal 1.

Sony VAIO Pro 13 Ultrabook
Specifications
Asus G750JX
4th gen Intel® Core i7
Processor
Intel® Core i7
Windows 8 Pro
Operating System
Windows 8 Pro
8GB (8GB fixed onboard x1) DDR3L-1600MHz
RAM
DDR3L 1600 MHz SDRAM, up to 32 GB
512 GB (512GB x1) SDD
Storage
750 GB SDD

Justifications :

1) Processor : Our processor is the same as group 5's.

2) Operating System : The OS used are also the same. Generally, the latest laptops produced nowadays are equipped with Windows 8 as the operating systems.

3) RAM : Eventhough the RAM of group 5's laptop is bigger, but our RAM is enough for a student to use it everyday.

4) Storage : The storage of group 5's laptop is bigger than ours, but as both use SDD, then it shall be no problem for the storage to have smaller size than the other group's.

Above of all, the specification of this laptop that we like the most is the design. Sony VAIO Pro 13 Ultrabook is the design. It is the lightest laptop produced so far, and it is very convenient for students, compared to Asus G750JX, which is quite heavier, and is not really suitable for students.

1. List your ideal desktop or laptop hardware specification as in slide 21-Figure 2.17 and explain why.

Our ideal laptop is :

Sony VAIO Pro 13 Ultrabook

The laptop's specifications :

Processor
4th gen Intel® Core i7-4500U (1.80GHz / 3.00GHz3 with Turbo Boost)
Operating System
Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
RAM
8GB (8GB fixed onboard x1) DDR3L-1600MHz
Monitor
13.3" LED backlit Full HD IPS TRILUMINOS for Mobile touch display (1920 x 1080)
Storage
512GB (512GB x1) solid state drive
Graphics
Intel® HD Graphics 4400

1) The processor used is the latest processor in the market. The operation will become faster.

2) The OS used is also the latest system so far (the upgrade-version of Windows 8). It delivers all the benefits of Windows 8, plus new levels of productivity, security, and mobility, all without sacrificing performance or choice.

3) The 8GB RAM will increase speed, performance, the number of applications that can be run at the same time, and the ability to open increasingly larger files.

4) The all-new TRILUMINOS Display for Mobile technology creates incredibly true, natural shades of color for more satisfaction than other displays.

5) SSD is chosen instead of HDD because an SSD-equipped laptop/PC will boot in seconds, certainly under a minute.

6) Graphics equipped in the system is really satisfying.
